COMPANY OVERVIEW

Combustion Brewery & Taproom (Clintonville) is Combustion’s second location producing a wide variety of fresh craft beer and cider all made by Combustion Brewery. The 83-seat Taproom offers a selection of 10-20+ regularly rotating craft beers made in-house or at our Pickerington location, and regular events (trivia, community events, tours, etc.).

Combustion Brewery & Taproom (Pickerington) is a brewery producing and serving craft beer in the Pickerington Village.  The brewery is in a historical building that once housed the Pickerington Creamery.  The history of the Creamery still shines through in the unique building. The red dairy tile floors, brick walls, large windows and high ceilings bring character to the space and are complimented with the various salvaged materials, including the reclaimed barn woods from the Pickering family farm property that is now Combustion’s unique bar top.  The taproom boasts an abundance of natural light and the addition of a garage door lends an inviting and warm atmosphere.

Patrons can enjoy a wide selection of beers made in-house and always fresh.  Saddle up at the bar and get a front row seat of the Brewery in action through large windows situated immediately next to the brew house, find comfort chatting with friends in the lounge area, enjoy the patio or take a seat in the “saloon,” filled with natural light.  Families should feel comfortable bringing their children to the Taproom.  There is a large outdoor Patio & Beer Garden with plenty of seating that’s great for families and leashed dogs are also welcome in the outdoor spaces.

Combustion Private Event Space is a versatile space perfect for receptions, social gatherings, corporate events, meetings, and more.  Situated above the Brewery & Taproom, the space offers 7200 square feet of private space that features an abundance of sunlight, plenty of room to accommodate your group, and the unique character of the historic Pickerington Creamery Building. The Combustion Private Event Space can accommodate up to 150 guests. Guests enjoy Combustion's craft beer made-in house and served fresh.

KEITH JACKSON BIO, Co-OWNER & BREWMASTER

Keith Jackson is an experienced Brewer with 13+ years in the industry.  Keith got his first taste of brewing as an undergraduate student at Ohio University when homebrewing became a hobby.  Keith and his wife Sarah spent 3 years in the Pacific Northwest where Keith’s interest in homebrewing became a love of Craft Beer.  Upon returning to Ohio in 2009, Keith knew he was not cut out for a desk job and began pursuing a professional career in brewing.  He literally got his feet wet in the industry volunteering at Elevator Brewery, but quickly got an Assistant Brewers position at Columbus Brewing Company washing kegs, working the bottling line and eventually brewing.  His plans to start his own Brewery developed early on but he knew additional experience would be key to a successful business. His drive and perseverance proved purposeful when he secured a job as Head Brewer with Gordon Biersch in 2012 where he worked for almost 5 years.  He began his search for the perfect location to start his brewery in early 2014, and Combustion Brewery & Taproom opened its doors in April of 2017.
