Combustion Brewery & Taproom is situated in the heart of the Pickerington Village and attracts locals and craft beer enthusiasts alike. To locals, the Taproom is an inviting space to spend time with friends and family, to attend a fundraiser, catch up with old friends or just enjoy the newest special release beer. It is a true community gathering space. Likewise, Combustion has become a destination. The atmosphere as well as the welcoming and knowledgeable staff offer a great experience, and the award-winning beers keep the locals coming back and draws the attention of tourists and craft beer aficionados.

The brewery boasts fresh craft beer and cider all made in-house. With 20 tap handles, the lineup is impressive and offers a wide variety of beers to please any beer drinker. The Taproom offers a large patio for outdoor seating, the family-friendly saloon is lined with large windows, the bar area has plenty of bar seating and high-top tables, and the barrel room is available for small private parties. For larger parties, the Brewery has a 2nd floor private event space that offers the perfect setting for weddings, private parties, and events. Check out the events calendar to see what food truck, live music and events scheduled for your upcoming visit. The Taproom also offers sodas, wine, and craft cocktails. Grab a 4-pack of your favorites beers to take home and enjoy or share!

While the old creamery building the brewery resides in has a history of devastating fires, the history of the building is merely a coincidence with the name. Combustion, the process of burning, holds many meanings for the Brewery aside from the obvious need for heat in the brewing process. It is a nod to the hard and endless work that goes into building a dream - burning the candle at both ends – working hard and always doing your best. Another important reference to Combustion is the gathering of people around a fire. When people sit around a bonfire they share stories, sing songs, or enjoy a moment together. Fire draws people together and helps build community, just in the same way that people build community within the walls of the Taproom sharing conversation over a pint.

Combustion Brewery and Taproom opened its doors in Pickerington in April 2017. In its 7th year the guiding pillars of the business remain the same; build community, offer a great customer experience, make the highest quality, freshest craft beer, and keep a wide variety of styles on tap to please any crowd. Those are high standards, but the Brewery is hitting the mark on all accounts!

Like many small business owners, Keith and Sarah Jackson know that the success of their business depends on the quality of their product and service. Keith’s background as a professional brewer has been instrumental in ensuring that every beer and cider served in the Taproom is held to a high standard. Combustion does not sell their packaged products outside of their taproom, so you won’t find their beer on the shelves at a grocery store. The beer is literally at its freshest being served about 15 feet from where it was brewed! Don’t see your favorite beer available in 4-packs in the taproom? Customers can have a Growler (64oz vessel) or Crowler (32oz disposable aluminum can) filled with beers from the current tap list. As for customer service, the Jackson’s only represent a small part of the company- the team of people behind Combustion strive to make every guest feel welcome! A happy customer is a repeat customer. Regardless if it’s a customers’ first time ever in a Brewery or if they are a customer who wants to know the OG° and IBUs of the beer they are ordering each guest is offered the same quality of service. In addition to offering a great customer experience, the Brewery has become known as a community partner. Combustion works closely with several community partners to support annual events in the Pickerington Village like the PVA Oktoberfest and Lion’s Club Car Show. Both are free community events that take place in the Combustion parking lot. The events feature music, food trucks, vendors, and of course, beer. Combustion welcomes fundraisers in their Taproom and Event Space offering fun and new ways for local organizations and schools to raise funds. There is a true sense of community within in the walls of Combustion.

How can you support this small business? Stop in, try a flight of beers, get to know your bartender, and tell your friends about your experience! See you in the Taproom.
